Speaking of donations, you may have glimpsed one of AYB’s signature yellow bikes around town. These bikes are available for anyone to hop on and borrow at their leisure, and then leave for the next person in need of a ride. But then again, maybe you haven’t.

“those basically get stolen,” laughs Schaeffer, who’s been involved with AYB since 2003. “But we couldn’t care less. All we care about is this: Are bikes being ridden? Great. We’re accomplishing our mission!”
